Neil McCann has been sacked as manager of Dundee.

The former Rangers (IL) and Hearts winger has managed one win and seven defeats in the SPFL Premiership and joins Kenny Miller and Alan Stubbs on the manager scrapheap.

Ironically McCann signed Miller on a two year contract with the striker likely to be considered as a caretaker or replacement.

The ‘EBT’ recipient replaced Paul Hartley on a caretaker basis in April 2017 and was convinced to take the job on a permanent basis after initially opting to return to Sky Sports.

After losing six matches Dundee won away to Hamilton Accies but lost their next match at home to Kilmarnock with McCann confronting referee Steven McLean at the final whistle.

There has been speculation that Dundee wanted to bring in an experienced figure to assist McCann.

Dundee are sitting bottom of the table with their next match away to Livingston on Saturday, Celtic face Dundee at Dens Park on Wednesday October 31.
