John Hartson has delivered an impassioned plea to Celtic fans to ignore speculation over Brendan Rodgers.
Every fortnight a new rumour causes excitement among the gullible with Aston Villa the latest example.
Within a week of Steve Bruce getting the sack Dean Smith was appointed as the new Villa boss despite a frenzy of misguided speculation that Rodgers was on his way to Birmingham.

Hartson is in reasonably regular contact with the Celtic manager and keeps a close eye on everything going on at his old club.
Since the Champions League qualifiers against AEK Athens there has been speculation about the relationship between Rodgers and the Celtic board.
Despite the difficulties at the start of this season Celtic are only three points behind Premiership leaders Hearts and in the semi-final of the Betfred Cup where they play the Edinburgh side.
Back-to-back wins over Aberdeen and St Johnstone have suggested that Celtic are returning to form with the visit of Hibs a week on Saturday set to provide another tough test of the hoops title credentials.
