KARAMOKO DEMBELE scored on his first full appearance for Celtic today as Tommy McIntyre’s side cruised to a 6-0 win over Partick Thistle in the Glasgow Cup at Lennoxtown.

Reserve League rules mean that the highly talented teenager will have to wait till his 16th birthday in February to play at that level but with no restrictions in the u-20 Glasgow Cup he was able to make his mark.

Jack Aitchison and Ciaran Diver played through the centre with Dembele combining impressively with Lewis Bell down the right at Celtic hit top form.

It’s been tough going so far this season at Reserve level but an early goal from Bell set the scene with Celtic 4-0 up before the break.

Diver, on loan at Stranraer, scored the second before 15-year-old Dembele put Celtic three in front after 13 minutes.

Captain Kerr McInroy scored either side of the half time break as the young Celts enjoyed their best performance and result of the season topped off by a late goal from substitute Paul Kennedy.

CELTIC: Mullen; Bell, Duffy (Kennedy 80), Welsh, Church; Dembele, McInroy, Coffey (Coffey 72) Oko Flex; Aitchison, Diver (Deas 72),

SUBS: Hughes, Paterson, McBride
