Martin Canning has hot out at Andrew Dallas over two penalty decisions in his side’s 4-1 defeat from Sevco.

The Lanarkshire official managed to hand out nine yellow cards and always looked capable of an erratic decision or two.

During the first half James Tavenier wrested Mickel Miller to the deck in front of Dallas who saw nothing and waved played on.

Accies deservedly equalised in the 80th minute through former Celtic kid Steven Boyd but there was still time for Dallas to influence the match.

A cross deep into the Accies penalty area sent Alex Penny stretching for the ball, as it hit his shoulder it bounced down to his arm with Dallas quickly on the scene to point to the penalty spot.

In the first-half it is a penalty for us,” Canning told The Sun. “Mickel cuts inside Tavernier and he gets held back.

If that’s anywhere else on the park, 100 per cent you get a free-kick. So why don’t you give it in the penalty box?

I don’t know if it’s because there wasn’t 2000 fans behind the goal shouting for it.

If it was the other way around and they jump up, is it a penalty? I don’t know but for me, it was a penalty.

The first penalty Rangers get is harsh. Alex goes and it hits his shoulder first before coming down onto his arm.

I don’t think it’s a deliberate attempt from him to block the ball with his arm.

It’s not his intention. I can see why you would give it, but I don’t think it was a clear and intentional handball.

Tavernier scored another penalty in the 87th minute before Morelos completed the scoring in stoppage time.

Sevco will have a European referee in charge for Thursday’s Europa League match against Spartak Moscow.
