After almost a decade in the first team James Forrest can be celebrated in song.

The winger is the second most decorated player in the current squad but while Kieran Tierney, Callum McGregor, Dedryck Boyata, Mikael Lustig and Olivier have their own song nothing has yet been created for the 27-year-old.

Ring of Fire was first released in 1963 and has enjoyed a recent revival with it’s most recent re-release coming in 2013.

Forrest came through the ranks of the Celtic Academy and made a scoring debut in 2009 when he appeared as a substitute against Motherwell.

Neil Lennon was a huge fan of the winger who turned in one of his best ever performances in October 2011 away to Kilmarnock when Celtic took a point despite being 3-0 down with the Irishman admitting that he considered quitting the club during that match.

Forrest has been heavily involved in Celtic’s run of seven successive title wins, with a new four year contract recently signed he intends picking up a few more while supporters pick up on the Jamesey song.
