Filip Twardzik couldn’t resist a look in at his old club last night.
The 25-year-old was a near miss in terms of his Celtic career, playing in the same youth side that produced Callum McGregor.
While McGregor has gone on to become a key part of Celtic’s success under Brendan Rodgers injury derailed Twardzik’s career with an 18 month spell on the sidelines hampering his progress.
Neil Lennon took the midfielder down to Bolton but again injury effected his progress before he opted to head back to central Europe.
Although he was born and brought up in Germany where his dad played as a goalkeeper Twardzik represented the Czech Republic up unto u-21 level.
During the summer he moved from Vitkovice to Ruzomberok in the Slovakian League.
With Ruzomberok sitting in fourth place there could be European football for Twardzik to look forward to next season.
