Brendan Rodgers won’t be rotating his squad over the next two matches.

Wins over Rosenborg and Aberdeen would be a massive statement of intent as the season reaches a hectic stage.

On Saturday at Hamilton Leigh Griffiths and Olivier Ntcham returned to action with fit-again Scott Brown providing additional options in the centre of the park.

Tom Rogic’s return will provide more options but Rodgers insists that game by game he will pick his first choice team

There’s no doubt you can see the level Callum’s (McGregor) been playing at, and he’s of course a different type of player to Broony,” the Celtic boss told the club website. “But Scott’s still top-class, he’s still a very good player for us.

We’ll always pick what we think is the best team. We’ve obviously got Tom Rogic coming back as well. But it’s great, it’s what you need – you need competition, that’s what allows the team to grow and develop.”

Celtic go to Norway on Thursday knowing that a win will definitely keep alive their hopes of reaching the last 32 of the Europa League.

Anything less will leave them waiting on news from Austria of the Red Bull derby.

Despite winning all four group matches, including the opener in Germany, RB Salzburg are outsiders for the tie with bookies pricing them at around 3/1 with Leipzig at less than even money.

While Celtic return to the Betfred Cup Final on Sunday against Aberdeen Rosenborg also have a cup final to look forward to on Sunday with Rini Coolen’s side facing Stromsgodset in the Oslo Final.
