Brendan Rodgers was much more relaxed yesterday as he discussed his ‘summer of discontent’.
Peaking around the Champions League qualifiers against AEK Athens it was the first time that Celtic fans feared that their manager could be tempted elsewhere.
Within the space of a week a storm brewed up around John McGinn, Dedryck Boyata making himself unavailable, losing to Hearts and getting knocked out of the Champions League in Greece.
“I am not one that can hide my emotions very well, I have to say, I was not hiding it very well at all!”

Celtic’s transfer dealings didn’t get much better, in the final days of the transfer window Moussa Dembele was sold to Lyon with Youssuf Mulumbu and Filip Benkovic brought in.
Since the summer transfer window Celtic fans have debated how the club managed to come out of the transfer window in a weaker position that they had started despite record money in the bank.
At the club AGM everyone on the top table seemed to be in harmony with Celtic supporters hoping for first team arrivals when the January transfer window opens.
