Once again Liverpool fans have ‘stolen; a song from Celtic and adapted it for one of their own.
Seven years ago the words of Dirty Old Town were adapted for Charlie Mulgrew with the lovable Scousers now switching the words to Virgil van Dijk!
The former Celtic defender has had a remarkable influence on Jurgen Klopp’s side- steering them into last season’s Champions League Final and now top spot in the EPL ahead of Manchester City.
The Virgil Van Dijk song is the best we’ve had for a player since Fernando Torres. pic.twitter.com/0Dds4WBb3f

Down the years numerous Celtic songs have found their way onto The Kop with both sets of supporters claiming to have taken You’ll Never Walk Alone onto the terraces.
The Fields of Athenry was sung by Celtic supporters in the late eighties before being reworded into the Fields of Anfield Road.
Twenty years after Depeche Mode took Just Can’t Get Enough into the charts it was popularised and revived by The Green Brigade before the inevitable rewording by Liverpool supporters.
