Almost no one was spared criticism today as Celtic crashed to a 2-0 defeat at Hibs.

Injury forced Brendan Rodgers into making four changes and a switch in formation with no successes on the day other than late substitute Mikey Johnston.

The defeat left Celtic in third place in the table and although they have games in hand on the top two today’s performance was concerning.

This morning Brendan Rodgers revealed his need for two new strikers with Chris Sutton believing that a heavy spend in January is essential to get Celtic back on course.

Mikael Lustig and Kieran Tierney are likely to be back in the team to face Motherwell on Wednesday but Odsonne Edouard’s form around goal is the biggest worry- with no other strikers available.

Having the Frenchman in top form will be essential for next week’s trips to Pittodrie and Ibrox but suddenly the home matches against Motherwell and Dundee are looking more difficult.
