One Celtic Da got a very special delivery from Santa- a ticket to Ibrox on Saturday!

While other fans were waking up to the usual gifts of Double Treble DVD’s, Celtic socks, Celtic boxers, Kieran Tierney mugs alongside their Lynx box-sets Siobhan Bell Logue was in for a bit of a surprise.

Dave King’s decision to cut Celtic’s allocation of tickets from 7,000 down to 750 may make him the pin up boy with the Vanguard Bears but seven Christmases ago Crag Whyte enjoyed that status.

Gimmicks for the Gullible has long been the way of things at Ibrox with Celtic only confirming that they would be taking up their ticket allocation a fortnight ago. Rather than filling the Broomloan Road Stand the Celtic support will be housed in a triangle between the front of the Govan Stand and the Broomloan Road Stand.

Celtic supporters will travel to and from Ibrox by bus from Celtic Park with Police Scotland expected to ensure their safety despite requesting that UEFA reduce the minimum allocation given to Europa League opponents.

Brendan Rodgers’ first team squad have been given an allocation of just 20 tickets with remainder split between season ticket holders and sponsors.
