Three days after watching from the bench as his main employers enjoyed a highly significant win in the race for the SPFL title Kris Boyd has got nothing to say about Kilmarnock!
The go-to guy for BBC Scotland, TalkSPORT and Sky Sports enjoyed a close up view as Steve Clarke plotted the downfall of Jermain Defoe and Steve Davis.
Today in his weekly column in The Sun he has decided to share his thoughts on Craig Levein’s treatment of David Vanecek. Ironically Boydy describes it as classic deflection, a subject that he understands very well, some might suggest that he takes instructions on what subjects to comment on and the others that he has to body swerve.
Throughout this season the veteran Kilmarnock substitute has been giving the inside track on Celtic’s problems. In one of the most pathetic interviews ever run by BBC Scotland he explained the split dressing room with the phrase ‘because’ and a belly laugh.
For over three weeks Scottish football fans have been fed a diet of the Gerrard Revolution creating the longed for ‘Old Firm’ title race. The next time the club from Ibrox are in action they could well be sitting in fourth place in the table.
If Celtic can maintain their 100% home record in the matches against Hamilton and St Johnstone they’ll be at least six points clear of their ‘Old Firm rivals’ on Wednesday night.
With all this going on and Kilmarnock sitting in second place the most important topic in Boyd’s mind is Vanecek- and deflection.
