Chris Sutton expected Brendan Rodgers to quit Celtic- but not for Leicester City in February.
The BT Sport pundit has never been afraid to speak his mind and upset many Celtic fans by revealing that he expected the Irishman to leave the club barely halfway through his four year contract.
What’s better @RobbieSavage8 … being stupid or really really stupid?? https://t.co/47YpJzepfh

Good luck to Brendan Rodgers in his new dream job…

Since the summer there has been obvious fault-lines between Rodgers and the Celtic board with failure to reach the Champions League coming with a number of repercussions including the Dedryck Boyata and Moussa Dembele saga.
While some sort of peace deal was presented to shareholders at the AGM in November the January transfer dealings failed to strengthen crucial areas with loans brought in for short term fixes.
Bearing in mind his previous statements about being incredibly happy in his dream job it seemed highly unlikely that Rodgers would leave Celtic in the lurch but that is exactly what happened yesterday.
His departure isn’t a shock but the timing and destination is with all of those sincere words and interviews meaning little as Rodgers takes his script to Leicester- a club that he has promised to give his life to!
