Mikael Lustig has missed out on a place for Sweden against Norway tonight.

The defender suffered a thigh injury midway through the first half of Saturday’s win over Romania and has had to settle for a place on the bench for tonight’s Nordic derby.

Twelve substitutes have been named by Jan Andersson for the European Championships qualifier with Neil Lennon bound to be watching carefully for any news on the defender.

Lustig played in central defence in Celtic’s last domestic game, the 1-0 win at Dundee with Celtic defenders in the wars during the international break.

Kieran Tierney missed both of Scotland’s matches while Dedryck Boyata pulled out of Belgium’s match against Cyprus due to personal reasons.

One piece of good news for Lennon was the performance of Kris Ajer against Spain on Saturday with the 20-year-old starting against Sweden tonight.

Lennon will have his full squad back at Lennoxtown tomorrow as he finalises his preparations for Sunday’s derby clash.
