A Question and Answer session with Brendan Rodgers proved too much for Celtic fans to resist with the new manager of Leicester City turning on the charm in buckets.
Liverpool and Celtic had previously been treated to the gushing insincerity of the Irishman as he pulls the heart strings in the most sincere and concerning of tones.
After landing his dream job, the club that he was born into, Rodgers was in full flow from day one with the Celtic fans happy to take anything on board as he restored Champions League football and delivered an unbeaten treble.
There were however warning signs as a google search for ‘Clyde Tunnel’ and Danny McGrain will reveal. Tall stories, touching and at all times highlighting the illuminating presence of Rodgers and of course his overwhelming humility.
It didn’t take long for the former Watford boss to transfer his insincerity to Leicester, within hours of sneaking out the back door at Celtic, deserting his friends for life, he was pledging to give his life to Leicester City.
As they lap up the warm words knowing Leicester fans will realise that within a couple of years another group of fans will be getting the full on heart-breaking and tear-jerking Rodgers magic.
BR: “I spoke to my wife afterwards about it, it was very moving. As a manager, I feel I missed out when I hear about Khun Vichai. I think it’s what Leicester is about. It’s an emotional club. We’ll use Khun Vichai’s memory to connect and build a legacy he can be proud of.” pic.twitter.com/OBazBLEtdT

Tell us all about the time the lad in the blue jersey got out of the car in front of you in a traffic jam and told you how good a lad you were, I like that one.

“There is not a place I could be in this world right now where I’d be happier in my football life and personal life.” “I’ve come to Celtic to build something special here. I’m really happy in my life and want to keep developing the club”
