Kieran Tierney is in contention for a place against St Mirren on Wednesday night.

The defender was an injury doubt before yesterday’s derby match then lasted 72 minutes before being replaced by Jeremy Toljan. Soon afterwards Celtic were down to 10 men when Dedryck Boyata suffered a hamstring pull forcing yet another reshuffle at the back.

Kris Ajer was also in the war with injuries but seems to have survived with just some patching up to do before he goes in against St Mirren on Wednesday.

Kieran Tierney was ok. He was out for a period so cramped up a little bit but we don’t see any big issues there.

Dedryck seemed to have some form of hamstring issue which will get assessed today and tomorrow and we’ll see the extent of that.

A win on Wednesday would take Celtic very close to the title which could be secured over the weekend.

Steven Gerrard has to raise his side for the visit of Hearts along the M8 before going to Motherwell on Sunday with Celtic’s final pre-split fixture at home to Livingston on Saturday.

St Mirren have plenty to play for after moving off bottom place at the weekend by beating Dundee but after a 0-0 draw in September Celtic won’t lack motivation on Wednesday night.
