According to a report in The Sun Celtic are showing interest in Silas Wamangituka.
The 19-year-old striker has scored nine times in 19 appearances in the French second division this season.
According to The Sun a fee in the region of £4.5m would be required to sign Wamangituka with his agent contributing a great deal of quotes to the report.
Having struck success with Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard it is understandable that Celtic are continuing to look towards French football for fresh talent.
When he discussed the news about Billy McNeill’s death Neil Lennon mentioned that he got the news in Paris with Wamangituka playing the previous night for Paris in their 0-0 draw with Valenciennes.
Edouard has largely been left to carry the Celtic strike force on his own this season with the addition of at least one striker a matter of urgency ahead of Champions League qualifiers which begin on July 9/10.
Wamangituka is from Congo and in the first year of a three year contract with Paris.
