Karamoko Dembele has been included in the Celtic squad for today’s Glasgow derby and could be named as a substitute.

The 16-year-old was watched by Neil Lennon in Monday’s Reserve League match against St Johnstone and has been involved in the build up to today’s match.

Dembele has played in half a dozen Reserve League matches but has been fast tracked ever since he played in the Development League as a 13-year-old.

The biggest clubs in Europe have been watching Dembele closely but Celtic got him to sign up until 2021 when he agreed a professional contract in December which kicked in when he turned 16 in February.

Lennon has spoken about integrating the young winger into the first team squad with his involvement at Ibrox following on from appearances in the SFA Youth Cup and Glasgow Cup Finals.

Footage of Celtic arriving at Ibrox is expected around 10.30am which will confirm whether Dembele has been included in the squad with the team being announced at 10.45am.
