Five days after being openly discussed and pictured inside Celtic Park it appears that the deal to sign David Turnbull has stalled.
On Friday morning Neil Lennon was happy to discuss the merits of the midfielder with an announcement expected later that day.
As Friday turned into Saturday it was claimed that the player had travelled to Manchester for his medical which seemed bizarre, on Monday morning Turnbull was pictured at Glasgow Airport with Celtic physio Tim Williamson.
There was no unexpected arrival in Austria tonight with the Evening Times and Daily Record running almost identical stories at 7.30pm tonight.
