Neil Lennon has admitted that every player has their price as he was questioned about Kieran Tierney.

Since the weekend there has been constant speculation linking the defender with Arsenal who are reported to have had an £18m bid rejected.

Between the lines it seems that Celtic will start negotiating if the bid reaches £25m with Lennon refusing to name a figure as he spoke to Sky Sports News after the 6-1 win over SK Pinkafeld tonight.

He’s coming back from surgery, his rehab, it can be unsettling, a lot of us have been in that position before. Obviously he has his price, every player has their price, if any team wants to match that we have a decision to make but until then there is nothing further to say on it.

Jonny Hayes started tonight’s match at left back and was replaced by Andrew Gutman at the interval. Midway through the second half the American moved into central defence with Calvin Miller returning to the game at left back.

Tierney is on a long term contract at Celtic and has given no indication of wanting to move away. If he isn’t in the team he is likely to be sitting in the stand with his mates supporting the side.

With Crystal Palace accepting a fee of £45m for Aaron Wan Bissaka from Manchester United a new benchmark has been set with Tierney vastly more experienced than the England u-21 right back.
