Celtic’s ‘interest’ in Andrea Bertolacci may have been started by two hoops fans on twitter.
The midfielder is a free agent after his contract expired with AC Milan which means that he will be looking for a hefty signing on fee with no transfer fee involved.
No credible Italian source has touched the story despite their blanket coverage of all matters football with just a couple of Italian blogs giving brief details of rumours from Celtic fans.

The 28-year-old can apparently play in any midfield role which just happens to be the area of the park that Celtic can call upon Scott Brown, Callum McGregor, Ryan Christie, Nir Bitton, Tom Rogic, Olivier Ntcham, Luca Connell and Ewan Henderson for the three available places.
Bertolacci certainly has an impressive CV with spells at Lecce, Genoa and Milan earning him five full international caps after coming through the ranks from u-16 to u-21 level.
Celtic’s immediate need is in defence with a right-back required for Champions League qualifiers. Speculation about Bertolacci may be amusing but like most summer rumours highly unlikely to amount to anything.
