Neil Lennon has held clear the air talks with Olivier Ntcham.

The midfielder gave an interview to L’Equipe that was highly critical of Scottish football and expressed his unhappiness at a move to Porto falling through last summer.

Lennon was far from happy with the reports that surfaced online but after Ntcham returned to training yesterday it seems that the problem has been ironed out.

‘Lost in translation’ used to be a favoured excuse to explain how interviews appeared in the British press but in this instance fans were able to pick up the interview directly from the French publisher.

Lennon explained:

He was disappointed with the way it came across, that wasn’t his intention. We have had a nice chat – a private chat – and it’s not an issue now. He is back in the group and training and getting ready for the new season.

Lennon confirmed that he was now available and likely to be considered for first team action within a fortnight.

After being involved with France at the u-21 European Championships until the end of June Ntcham was given extra time off and now has to get upto speed with his club team-mates.

Scott Brown, Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie look like being Lennon’s first choice midfielders leaving Ntcham, Tom Rogic and any new signing with the task of working their way into the first team.
