Chris Sutton was delighted to see Leigh Griffiths back on the scoresheet in Celtic’s 5-0 win over Nomme Kalju.
The striker was given time away from football last December with many doubting whether he would ever play again never mind recapture the form that delivered more than 100 goals.
After a 15 minute cameo last week against FK Sarajevo Griffiths was named in the starting XI for the clash with the Estonian champions, playing up front alongside Odsonne Edouard.

The former Hibs striker tried a cheeky claim for Kris Ajer’s opener, wanted to take the penalty that Ryan Christie scored Celtic’s second from but no one was taking the first half stoppage time free kick that the hoops were awarded.
From around the distance that he scored twice against Joe Hart in 2017 Griffiths stepped up and drilled the perfect free kick well over the wall and under the crossbar.
His team-mates stood back to let the striker celebrate alone for a moment as the Celtic support realised that the leading scorer in Scottish football is back with unfinished business to complete.
