Leigh Griffiths starts his first competitive match in seven months tonight with Celtic taking on Nomme Kalju in the Champions League second round qualifier.
The former Hibs striker replaces Lewis Morgan in the starting XI from the side that beat FK Sarajevo last week. The inclusion of Griffiths gives Neil Lennon more options in attack with a front two of Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard or allowing either man to drift to the left.
Hatem Abd Elhamed was signed too late to be included in tonight’s squad leaving Neil Lennon with the same group of players as he had to face FK Sarajevo last week with the addition of the injured trio of Vakoun Bayo, Marian Shved and Mikey Johnston.
Last season at this stage Celtic were drawn against Rosenborg, progressing on the back of a 3-1 aggregate to the ill fated tie with AEK Athens in the third qualifying round.
The winners of this second round tie will face Cluj or Maccabi Tel Aviv with the winners of that tie assured of a seeded place in the Play Off round at the end of August.
