Rod Stewart enjoyed Celtic’s flag day win over St Johnstone to the full- joining in the huddle as the fans anticipated two more SPFL titles.
Before the kick off against St Johnstone the league flag for last season’s success was unfurled before Neil Lennon’s side put down their first instalment towards a ninth title win.
Stewart was around for the first nine as Dixie Deans and Kenny Dalglish joined some of the Lisbon Lions to deliver the title for Jock Stein in season 73/74.

The international singer is a fairly regular visitor to Celtic Park, when he is out on tour it’s obvious that he keeps in touch with events in Glasgow with Celtic regularly featuring in the backdrops to his stage.
Yesterday’s SPFL opener was trouble free from the moment that Mikey Johnston opened the scoring in the ninth minute.
A hat-trick from Ryan Christie followed that before Olivier Ntcham, Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths completed a great day in the sun for the eight times champions.
