After a seven month absence from matches involving the club from Ibrox, Willie Collum has been given back to back fixtures involving Steven Gerrard’s side.

Following a red card issued to Daniel Candeias against St Mirren in November the Ibrox firm issued a statement claiming that the Lanarkshire based official had underlying issues.

Until the final weekend of last season the SFA kept Collum away from matches involving the Ibrox side meaning that other clubs had the FIFA ref appointed more regularly at their games.

With the main issues all settled Collum was put in charge for the final SPFL match of the season with Gerrard unhappy about the penalty awarded late in the match to Killie. Andrew Dallas, who stood down as a FIFA referee during the summer will be the fourth official at Rugby Park.

Between Christmas Day and the end of last season Collum was in charge of five Celtic matches.
