Andrew Dallas was al smiles as he shared a joke with Steven Gerrard after Connor Goldston’s late winner against Kilmarnock.

Stephen O’Donnell’s 83rd minute goal looked like earning Kilmarnock a point but in stoppage time the former Shrewsbury starlet headed home the goal that ensured an away win.

Soon afterwards the Sky Sports cameras moved to the touchline where fourth official Dallas seemed delighted by Goldston’s late header.

Dallas, son of Hugh, hasn’t been put in charge of a match involving the club from Ibrox since he awarded four penalties in the home win over St Mirren in February. Away to Hamilton Accies in November he awarded two penalties in the last ten minutes with the scores level at 1-1, James Tavernier converted both times.

During the summer Dallas announced that he was stepping down from the FIFA list due to work pressures, that should see him given less high profile domestic matches to referee.
