A report in France claims that Celtic are offering Olivier Ntcham for sale.

Last month the midfielder told L’Equipe that he wanted to quit Scottish football but reported interest from Porto and Marseilles has still to be converted into a solid offer.

Neil Lennon has brought Ntcham back into the fold but it was a controversial decision to pick the former Manchester City man for the Champions League qualifier against Cluj which resulted in Callum McGregor moving to left-back.

Celtic are always vulnerable to offers coming in for players but it will alarm some fans that they are reported to be actively trying to sell a player who extended his contract as recently as November.

Webgirdonis claims:

20minutes informs us that Olivier Ntcham (23 years old), a promising young French international has been proposed to the Girondins de Bordeaux. Evolving at the post of defensive midfielder, he is in trouble with his club, Celtic Glasgow.

Bordeaux would have declined this proposal , because its profile does not correspond to that sought (experienced midfielder), and its cost would be too important explains 20minutes.

Ntcham had an outstanding debut season after joining Celtic in July 2018 but after scoring the only goal of the September Glasgow derby his form went seriously downhill- starting with a first half ordering off in the next match against St Mirren.

After recovering from injury after Brendan Rodgers left the club he failed to win back his position in the team but was still involved in the Fench u-21 side that reached the semi-finals of the European Championships in France.
