Neil Lennon is hopeful that Hatem Abd Elhamed will be available for Wednesday’s Champions League qualifier away to Cluj.
The defender made his debut in today’s 7-0 win over St Johnstone but was replaced early in the second half by Tony Ralston.
Elhaned was holding his thigh muscle was he walked around the pitch without a physio with Lennon hopeful that the former Hapoel Beer Sheva man will be involved in Romania.
“We hope so (be fit for Wednesday), it was a dead leg, we thought that he might be able to stay on for 10 or 15 minutes but obviously we were able to give him a breather,” the Celtic boss told Radio Scotland.
“We’re hopeful that he will be fit for Wednesday because I thought that he was outstanding on his home debut. The two full-backs gave us so much more width, power and pace.”
????? NL: “Hatem got a dead leg, but we’ll just have to monitor him. I thought he was outstanding and @MBolingoli had a great game as well.” #FlagDay????? #CELSTJ
