Neil Lennon is hoping to complete Celtic’s transfer business this week.

The performance of Vakoun Bayo and arrival of Fraser Forster has strengthened two important areas of the team with the two full-back areas most likely to be strengthened.

Hatem Abd Elhamed was missing for the second game running in today’s 3-1 win over Hearts forcing Kris Ajer out of his preferred role at centre-back.

Boli Bolingoli appears to be the first choice left-back but appears to be more comfortable as a wing-back with Callum McGregor the Plan B.

Lennon has eight days left of the transfer window but is hoping to have new faces in place for Wednesday’s flight to Sweden with the new bhoys ready for action at Ibrox on Sunday.

The Daily Record reported:

We need players in two or three positions. Hopefully we can get some quality bodies in on Monday or Tuesday. If we do, I’d like to take them to Sweden with us to integrate them with the group if they have an opportunity to play next weekend.

Forster isn’t available for Thursday’s return leg against AIK but the decision to play Forster today suggests that the on loan Southampton keeper is the new first choice.

Kilmarnock duo Stephen O’Donnell and Greg Taylor would appear to solve both problem positions but so far no bids have been made for the Rugby Park duo.
