Olivier Ntcham drops onto the bench for tonight’s Europa League play-off against AIK as Neil Lennon returns to a more familiar 4-2-3-1 formation with Christopher Jullien and Boli Bolingoli in from the start.
Last week’s selection against Cluj instantly prompted a guessing game that was only resolved at kick-off time with Callum McGregor shunted to left-back.
At his media conference yesterday Lennon confirmed that Jullien and Bolingoli would play despite being left out of last week’s defeat from Cluj with Kris Ajer switching to right-back to replace the injured Hatem Abd Elhamed.
There were five changes to the Celtic side that beat Dunfermline at the weekend but with Scott Brown back in place tonight’s side looks much more recognisable.
At this stage last season Celtic drew 1-1 away to Suduva of Lthuania before winning the return leg 3-0 with a repeat of that scoreline the target tonight
CELTIC: Gordon; Ajer, Simunovic, Jullien, Bolingoli; McGregor, Brown; Forrest, Christie, Johnston; Edouard
SUBS: Hazard, Hayes, Bitton, Griffiths, Ntcham, Morgan, Bayo
