Motherwell and Kilmarnock are interested in taking Jack Hendry on loan, according to a report in the Daily Record.

Despite Celtic’s problems since the departure of Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic the former Dundee defender hasn’t made any sort of appearance this season with Neil Lennon opting to play Nir Bitton in defence.

The Record claims:

Celtic outcast Jack Hendry is being eyed by Motherwell and Kilmarnock as he looks to end his Hoops frustration. The Premiership pair have expressed an interest in the centre-back who has not made a single appearance under Neil Lennon.

Hendry is on a lucrative contract until June 2022 with his personal terms ruling out a permanent move to another Scottish club.

The 24-year-old was part of Celtic’s disastrous January 2018 group of signings that also included Charly Musonda and Marvin Compper with Scott Bain the only arrival to make a positive impact.

Hendry was given a run of games at right-back as he deputised for Mikael Lustig after joining Celtic with his form earning him a couple of Scotland caps.

After picking up an injury last Augusr he dropped right out of the picture at Celtic with his last appearance coming in Brendan Rodgers’ farewell match against Motherewell in February.
