Celtic fans were sharing their love for Fraser Forster after their side’s 3-1 win over Kilmarnock.

After falling behind to a first half goal from Eamonn Brophy the hoops stormed back to take control thanks to a double from Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie’s 10th goal of the season.

With five minutes left to play referee Greg Aitken decided to liven things up by awarding Kilmarnock a penalty for a challenge by Scott Brown. Fortunately Forster pushed away Alan Power’s shot from 12 yards out.

In Celtic’s last home match Forster saved a penalty against Hearts but watched the rebound find the net. So far in three home matches this season Celtic have had two penalties awarded against them and none for. Neil Lennon was yellow carded by Aitken for his reaction to the penalty.

Forster joined Celtic on a season long loan from Southampton at the end of August and instantly took over as first choice keeper.

Today’s win over Kilmarnock maintained Celtic’s three point lead at the top of the SPFL table with six successive wins to start the campaign.

In midweek Celtic host Partick Thistle in the Betfred Cup before taking on Hibs at Easter Road on Saturday.
