Celtic fans have been left frustrated and disappointed by the club’s latest ticket announcement.
Despite being given an allocation believed to be in excess of 30,000 for the Betfred Cup semi-final with Hibs a ballot has been held among season ticket holders on the Home Cup Ticket Scheme.
Celtic have had two home ties to reach the semi-final stage with 27,318 attending the 2-1 win over Dunfermline with 25,008 watching the win over Partick Thistle. Taking away visiting supporters and single match ticket sales it’s fair to suggest that around 20,000 fans on the HCTS attended both matches.
That should ensure a semi-final ticket for the fans that attended but with a ballot held some of those fans will miss out.
Celtic have already expressed their displeasure with the 5.30pm Saturday kick off but it seems that some regular supporters are going to miss out on the match.
Hibs have been allocated half of the South Stand with additional sales for the West Stand beginning at the South corner which could release additional tickets for Celtic fans in the West Stand.
This is getting ridiculous now I’ve hardly missed an away game in about 16 years, been on the HCTS since it started and I’ve not got one for this?!

Absolute joke that it’s a ballot. Away ticket criteria should definitely play a part. And the carrot dangled infront of people to join the htcs was it would get you a semi final and final ticket. Now there’s too many on it. Very good ??

it’s very good for the club, they get more money. That’s literally why they do it?

If the away tickets are allocated to those who have been on the scheme the longest (rightly so) why is it not the same with the home ticket scheme?? Allocated tickets for every match for years now didnt make it in the ballot. Very strange set up
