Karamoko Dembele completed a busy spell of international duty by scoring for England’s u-17 side in the 1-1 draw with Spain today.
It was the third match in six days for the teenage Celt who made his first team debut in the final SPFL match of last season. Dembele scored in the 25th minute but in stoppage time Miguel Rodriguez equalised for the home team.
England’s u-17 squad had lost 1-0 on Saturday to Germany on Saturday after a 3-3 draw with the same opponents on Thursday to complete an extensive programme for Kevin Betsy’s squad which also included Celtic goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi.

With no club football to cover there were reports last week that Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal were tracking Dembele. With the chance to watch the best teenagers from Germany, Spain and England the Pinatar Arena in Spain would have been a magnet for scouts from across Europe.
Next Tuesday Dembele is exected to be in the Celtic squad for the Reserve Cup tie away to Dunfermline.
