Celtic stamped their class over Aberdeen and reinforced their title credentials with a 4-0 win at Pittodrie this afternoon.

After Thursday’s dramatic win over Lazio questions were being asked about how quickly Neil Lennon’s side could recover from that high for some essential domestic business.

Ryan Christie sat the match out due to suspension but there was no interruption to Celtic’s attacking intentions as they raced into a two goal lead after 15 minutes thanks to goals from Odsonne Edouard and Jeremie Frimpong.

After a short lull James Forrest and Mo Elyounoussi found the net before the interval to the delight of the home support squeezed into one section of the ground despite large swathes of empty red seats all around Pittodrie.

With five of their next six SPFL coming at home Lennon’s side will be looking to reinforce their position at the top of the table going into the busy festive period.
