Jeremie Frimpong was swamped with compliments after venturing onto Twitter.
The teenager made his SPFL debut in the 6-0 win over Ross County and didn’t look out of place as Neil Lennon’s side flexed their muscle.
Frimpong played at right-back ahead of Moritz Bauer and Hatem Abd Elhamed and justified the faith shown in him by his manager.
After hitting a glass ceiling at Manchester City the defender opted to make a permanent move to Scotland rather than go out on a round of loan deals that don’t lead to anywhere in particular.
Frimpong made his first Celtic appearance in the 5-0 Betfred Cup win over Partick Thistle, after sitting out a couple of matches he returned to the side and made a big contribution to Celtic’s return to winning ways after losing 2-0 away to Livingston.
#Frimpong was trending across Glasgow from mid-afternoon with the new bhoy winning a whole army of admirers across social media.
On Thursday night Lennon has a big decision to make at right-back when he selects his side to face Lazio, if there was a fan vote for the role Frimpong will be making his European debut in front of a 60,000 sell-out.
