Hatem Abd Elhamed took a shine to one particular picture from Celtic’s celebrations in Rome.
The exuberance from Olivier Ntcham’s last gasp winner had barely settled down when the internet was being flooded with videos and images from the glory night in the Europa League.
Elhamed starred in a back three for 83 minutes as Celtic went toe-to-toe with the side sitting in fourth place in Serie A after beating AC Milan at the San Siro at the weekend.
As he stretched for an interception something gave way with the former Hapoel Be’er Sheva man watching the closing stages from the bench as Nir Bitton took his place in defence.
All the pain was made worthwhile deep in stoppage time as Olivier Ntcham deftly clipped the ball over the onrushing keeper to secure the win and Celtic’s place in the last 32 of the Europa League.
The celebrations went on long after the final whistle with Elhamed one of many star performers as Celtic secured European football after Christmas with two matches left to spare.
