Lyndon Dykes has accused Scott Brown of deliberately going out to injure him.

The Celtic striker was booked in the final minute of Saturday’s 4-0 win over Livingston in what the BBC has recorded as the home side’s only foul of the match.

Earlier this season Dykes revelled in his hard man image as Livi beat Celtic 2-0 at Almondvale but after being on the end of a heavy defeat the Australian born striker decided to squeal to The Sun:

Most tackles were fine. The worst was Scott Brown on my ankle at the end. I think he went in to do it on purpose. It’s the type of player he is and I had nothing against him.

After the game I shook his hand. In the first half there was a 50-50 and I got him one then he got me one. It’s part of football. I just get on with it. But I think there were a couple of fouls on me which were given as fouls to them.

As well as scoring five goals this season Dykes has picked up six yellow and one red card. Last season at Queen of the South he scored 10 goals and was booked 11 times.

In their last 11 matches Livingston’s only victory was the 2-0 win against Celtic in September with Saturday’s home match against Hamilton becoming an early season six pointer.

Hamilton, St Mirren, St Johnstone and Hearts are all two points behind Livingston in bottom place in the SPFL Premiership.
