Neil Lennon is looking to have Leigh Griffiths in his matchday squad for the match against Livingston on November 23.

The striker has been dogged by injuries this season but returned to full training ten days ago after getting over a thigh strain.

In the past Lennon has been cautious about setting targets for Griffiths to make his comeback but wants to see the striker back in action against his first club after the international break.

Covering his pre-match interview the Daily Record reports:

He told Celtic TV: “We’re hoping to give him two good weeks of work, then he has a developmental game next week – see how he comes through that.

“We want him up to speed, he’s not up to speed, not at the level that we want him at, he’s got to do the work in the next two weeks.”

Griffiths scored three goals in the early weeks of the season but hasn’t played since making a 15 minute appearance against Hearts at the end of August.

With Vakoun Bayo out injured Odsonne Edouard is the only fit striker available to Neil Lennon with the former Paris Saint Germain forward starting every match between the October and November international breaks.

With 11 matches packed in between the Livingston match and the Glasgow derby at the end of December Lennon will need to use his squad to the maximum.
