Odsonne Edouard took just nine minutes to get on the scoresheet for France against the Swiss u-21 side.
The Celtic striker scored a last gasp penalty against Georgia on Friday which the Swiss keeper would have been aware of before tonight’s match.
Rather than choose a corner for tonight’s penalty the confident Celtic striker dinked home a penalty down the centre of the goal to put France in front away to their main competitors.

In his sixth u-21 match of the season Edouard has taken his goal tally to 11 showing the sort of leadership and class that has taken Celtic to the top of the table in Scotland and also in the Europa League.
Just before the interval Switzerland scored twice leaving the French with a vastly different half-time team talk with Celtic fans anxious for the former Paris Saint Germain striker to return unscathed for Saturday’s SPFL match at home to Livingston.
Next week Celtic face French opposition in the shape of Rennes in the Europa League but with two bookings in the competition Neil Lennon may rest his first-choice striker.
