Neil Lennon has dismissed a report linking Celtic with an interest in Andraz Sporar.
Saturday’s Daily Mail reported on Celtic’s watching the Slovan Bratislava striker who scored five goals in the Europa League group stage despite his side finishing behind Sporting Braga and Wolves.
At 25-years-of-age and playing off the beaten track Sporar would seem to fit the profile of a likely Celtic signing but Lennon dismissed that prospect after watching his side win 2-0 over Hibs.
Neil Lennon says Jeremie Frimpong is one of the best players he’s ever seen at his age.
He’s also dismissed reports the club are interested in Slovenian forward Andraz Sporar. pic.twitter.com/SZFvAeQ541

The fact that there are no quotes suggests a shake of the head or a short negative answer. In January Marian Shved was signed from Karpaty Lviv with little input from Brendan Rodgers until late on in the deal.
Signing a striker seems to be widely recognised as Celtic’s transfer priority when the window opens next month.
After a five-match absence Odsonne Edouard was back in the starting XI yesterday and responded by scoring the second goal.
Leigh Griffiths and Vakoun Bayo were both on the bench yesterday but have struggled to provide regular competition to Edouard.
With four more matches before the end of the year Celtic’s resources will be tested to the full starting on Wednesday night when they face Hearts at Tynecastle.
