‘Oh my days!’
Whatever his career goes on to achieve those words will forever be associated with Jeremie Frimpong.
The 18-year-old Dutch kid brought up in Manchester is now the adopted son of half of Glasgow with grudging admiration from the other half of the city.
Only the coldest darkest heart couldn’t have reacted to his after-match interviews. It sounded like a kid at a school sports day or gala!
Frimpong had been Celtic’s best outfield player for an hour but a deflected clearance off Kris Ajer put him in the firing line and he pulled back Alfredo Morelos 12 yards from goal.
A red card was the right decision, he trudged off the park fearing the worst but Fraser Forster wasn’t to be beaten by the Colombian goal ace and the 10 men survived for half an hour to earn Frimpong his winners medal.
Late on Sunday night he turned to twitter. Overnight he picked up 265 comments, 856 retweets and over 13,000 likes. The tip of an iceberg.

Seems like a really nice young man. As a neutral felt really sorry for him but correct decision imo. Could see him at end, really excited and still trying to explain the decision to his mates and manager. Looked like Lennon told him to forget it and enjoy the moment.
