On January 12 it was just another rumour but Celtic Underground does have something of a track record of getting things right on the transfer front.

Last night, for the second match running, Nicky Hammond was watching Hibs in action ,adding strength to claims that Martin Boyle is on his way to Celtic.

A few pieces of the jig-saw are coming together. Neil Lennon has mentioned looking to add a winger to his squad with Boyle one of his top performers during his spell as Hibs manager.

A year ago Boyle’s career was in the doldrums. After being called up to play for Australia for the Asian Cup the Aberdeen born winger suffered a serious knee injury in a warm up match.

Returning to Hibs he was soon without a manager as Lennon left the club. Three games into his comeback, away to Elgin in the League Cup he suffered another knee injury that kept him out until the end of October and the last days of Paul Heckinbottom.

Jack Ross doesn’t want to lose him, Rod Petrie detests dealing with Celtic, relations are strained between Leeann Dempster and Neil Lennon but with eight days left Celtic Underground might be closing in on another successful rumour.
