A week after his ‘Watch This Space’ tweet outside of Celtic Park Alex Thomson has added some detail to his investigations into Scottish football.
For those inside Celtic Park it is likely to make for some bleak viewing.
While there has been hysteria from elements of the Scottish media and a keen commercial case from Thompsons Solicitors there has nevertheless been an issue that hasn’t been handled well.
None of the current directors of the club have had any involvement but Kevin Kelly and Jack McGinn have questions to answer.

Without doubt the issue isn’t specific to Celtic. From the sixties onwards it seems clear that most organisations involved with children attracted absolute monsters with football at the heart of almost everything involving Scottish kids.
So far Celtic have failed to demonstrate that they are more than a club. Every aspect involving the Celtic Foundation gets the full in-house PR treatment but a small group of people close to the club but not officially connected that been cast aside.
Channel 4 News carries respect and credibility, qualities which are almost extinct within Scottish media outlets.
Celtic would be wise to get pro-active on this issue, there are more than enough highly salaried executives on the pay-roll to deal with the issue sensitively rather than whatever the current strategy may be.
