Alfredo Morelos’ interview with Sky Sports created plenty of headlines yesterday leaving as many questions as answers.

It was a fairly bizarre interview with the questions asked in English followed by smoothly delivered answers with the translated questions missing.

One of many key questions was how a Spanish speaker recognised racist abuse in English. Sky Sports and BBC Scotland had plenty of cameras at Celtic Park but have been unable to highlight a single frame of racist abuse.

The words spoken during the interview were secondary to the translation offered with one Spanish based twitter account offering an alternative view on what the Colombian had to say.

The version offered by CelticAlicante seems much more natural and paints Morelos in a better light, missing out on specific claims from the translation put together by Sky Sports.

With Michael Stewart picking up on the bigger picture on Radio Scotland the matter seems certain to rumble on with the focus very much on Morelos who is now carrying the Ibrox title challenge with Jermain Defoe expected to be missing for the whole of February.
