Neil Lennon wasn’t prepared to cut Kheredine Idesanne any slack at a media conference today to promote a charity football match in May.

Celtic’s domination of honours has left many reporters lost for words as they attempt to come to terms with the magnitude of the team’s success.

Often when a reporter is going round the houses to put a question together they will be helped out by the person being questioned.

Tennis expert Idesanne decided to ask if failing to win the Treble would make this season a failure!

That’s an awful question Lennon answered. Rather than take the hint the man from the BBC tried to justify and follow up his awful question.

“I don’t know who would deem that a failure,” Lennon replied politely.

The tone of the question clearly reflects the view of Idesanne that Celtic’s success is boring and harmful for Scottish football.

The current run of success that Celtic are on is unprecedented. It beats anything achieved by Dick Advcaat, Walter Smith, Bill Struth or Graeme Souness.

Perhaps paying it some respect rather than contriving some ridiculous angle would give the BBC some much needed credibility and respect, rather than asking awful questions.
