UEFA will call together clubs and national associations on Tuesday to discuss postponing the Champions League and Europa League with immediate effect.
Football matches in Italy and Switzerland have been postponed due to the impact of the Coronavirus with this week’s Champions League matches in Paris and Valencia played behind closed doors.
In the light of ongoing developments in the spread of Covid-19, UEFA has invited various stakeholders to discuss European football’s response to the outbreak.

A number of today’s Europa League matches are scheduled to be played behind closed doors with the fixtures in Milan and Sevilla postponed due to flight restrictions in Italy.
The SPFL have still to make any decision on their fixtures with the option appearing to be playing behind closed doors or postponement.
With Europa League return legs scheduled for next Thursday the tournament could be thrown into chaos with ties left in limbo and some clubs denied the advantage of playing in front of their home support.
UEFA will review the issue on a daily basis but clubs, sponsors and broadcasters will be keen for normal service to resume.
Any significant delay is likely to put the European Championship Finals in doubt with the final stages of that competition overlapping with the start of next season’s Champions League and Europa League qualifiers.
