Rare footage of Celtic’s 6-2 victory over Rangers in August 2000 has surfaced on Twitter.

The brilliant Tam Sellick III account has dipped into the archives to share the closing credits from one of the most memorable Glasgow derbies.

Henrik Larsson’s chipped goal is one of the most viewed goals ever scored by a Celtic player with the Swede shaking off Lorenzo Amoruso and Bert Konterman before fooling Stefan Klos with a chipped shot that left the keeper helpless as the ball hit the back of the net.

Without doubt that match was pivotal as Martin O’Neill and his side stamped their authority across Scottish football.

Dick Advocaat had won five out of the previous six domestic trophies but the Dutchman, known by some as The Little General, was never to have things his own way again.

Celtic found themselves 3-0 up within 15 minutes but even leading 5-2 after 62 minutes many home supporters refused to believe that the points were safe. The previous season Celtic had taken just one point from four derby matches- losing eight goals in two visits to Ibrox.

In the closing minutes the home fans were able to relax and celebrate with Chris Sutton putting Celtic 6-2 in front- 89 minutes after opening the scoring on his derby debut.
