Douglas Park is refusing to hand over the evidence needed for an inquiry into SPFL voting after being called out by Murdoch MacLennan.
The claim comes from The Athletic who seem to be one of a number of social media outlets being used as an outlet for the Ibrox PR machine.
BBC Scotland have played an important role in sending out the right message to the gullible, providing Scot Gardiner, currently with Inverness Caley Thistle, with a platform to share his Whatsapp message. Gardiner has previously worked at Rangers, Dundee and Hearts, at Tynecastle he left the club during the delayed construction of the new main stand.
It seems that no-one at the state broadcaster was prepared to tell Gardiner than you have to cast votes in a ballot box (or send an email) for the vote to be legitimate.
An hour after Gardiner had been on Radio Scotland the angry statement appeared from Ibrox with quotes from interim chairman Douglas Park.
Soon afterwards MacLennon challenged Park to provide the evidence which brought a predictable response from the sympathetic reporter at The Athletic:
The growing feud over the SPFL’s resolution to terminate the lower-league football season in Scotland was at an impasse on Saturday night with Rangers refusing to hand over evidence to the governing body— which they claim highlights incompetence in the voting procedure — until an independent investigation into the vote is opened, The Athletic understands.

If Park refuses to produce the evidence the SPFL has to call on the SFA to charge Park and his club (not Hamilton Accies) with bringing the game into disrepute. If the SPFL fail to push charges it will give some legitimacy to yesterday’s claim from Park.
